The Stories of Crimean Journalists— Prisoners of the Kremlin”The book Free Voices of Crimea is a collection of 16 features of politically imprisoned journalists who fought for human rights and freedom of speech on the occupied peninsula. This book’s protagonists are mostly Crimean Tatars: for this reason, their stories are accompanied by historical evidence that explains the reasons and origins of the constant resistance of the indigenous people of Crimea against Soviet and then Russian tyranny. The book also contains a documental part including selected letters, extracts from diaries and court speeches of the politically imprisoned journalists.

Interdisciplinary performance based on haiku by Maks Lyzhov. “Archaeology of Literature”Can contemporary literature, in its various manifestations, become the material remains of human activity that future archaeologists will use to study us? As a frequent participant in archaeological expeditions, Maks Lyzhov creates poetic texts that will one day be used to decode today's Ukrainian reality. To do this, he has chosen haiku, a poetic genre that is atypical for Ukrainian literature. The project brings together literature, music and video art. By interacting with each other, all three components expand the concept of translation, and the archaeological theme in the visual images prompts us to reflect on memory.

What she learned from Eichmann, she believed, was that the nature of evil was its shallowness, its lack of depth—in contrast to our longing for the demonic.

Women Who Look at War: Presentation of the Documentary Book by Viktoriia AmelinaThis book could be called a collection of reportages about Ukrainian women who document Russian war crimes. It is also a diary, a collection of stories of those who had witnessed and survived the worst terrors of Russian aggression and occupation. At the same time, this book powerfully argues for the fact that the Russian war against Ukraine began much earlier than 2014 and that’s of the utmost importance to remember about Russian terror against Ukrainians in the 1930s and 1960s. This event will gather the protagonists of Victoria Amelina’s unfinished book to share love and memory, to testify and to continue the fight for justice.

“Own. Symphonic Music by Borys Liatoshynsky”Svoie (one's own) is something that is deeply rooted in the heart, which does not require translation or justification. It is the space of truth, the place where a person remains himself. Borys Lyatoshynsky's music speaks to the heart - sincerely, passionately, uncompromisingly. It speaks of what is worth preserving, of what is yours, which nothing can break. The concert will feature the ballad “Grażyna” based on the poem by Adam Mickiewicz - a tragic and majestic story of victory won at the cost of life - and the Second Symphony - a confession of the soul written in the terrible 1930s, a testament to the power of being yourself against all odds.
