Compás Publishing House was established as a center of Ibero-American literature in Ukraine. Our goal is to develop cultural connections with Latin America, Spain and Portugal and thus to place Ukraine into the global cultural context.
“Compás” in Spanish means rhythm. And this concept fully corresponds to our main task: to publish exactly those texts that will resonate with the social needs, rhythm of life and unique self of each reader.
Someone will read our name as a “compass” – in the sense of a navigation tool – and will make no mistake. Our books are a compass in the hands of those who want to discover the world of foreign literature. So our second task is to make available to the Ukrainian reader the iconic works of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American authors.
