Kateryna Botanova is the head of media projects in the Frontier Institute and a curator of the project 25 Strategic Questions to Ukraine, with Ukraïner. She was an affiliated senior curator at the Research Platform of the PinchukArtCenter, Kyiv. In 2025, she edited a volume, Reclaiming History. Decoloniality and Art in Ukraine after 1991, and curated an exhibition, Archipelago of History. In the summer of 2025, she curated an exhibition, Kherson. The Steppe Holds, in Mystetskyi Arsenal (Kyiv). She is a co-curator of the Swiss biennial Culturescapes since 2014. Her texts are commissioned by various media and included in books published by Routledge, McGill-Queen’s University Press, Forum Transregionale Studien, and Ibidem Verlag, among others. She is a member of the Ukrainian PEN.
