The Old Lion Publishing House (Vydavnytstvo Staroho Leva) was founded in 2005 in Lviv. its editor in chief is Marjana Savka, and author of 12 books, including books for children, translator, and public activist. the books it produces will satisfy even the most demandable readers of all ages: bright board-books, tales, and poems for the youngest,
chapter-books for pupils, books for young adults (both entertaining and about serious issues), refined poetry, breathe catching novels, beautiful atlases, and albums,
and even coloring books to relax and calm. It publishes nearly 160 titles per year, both of Ukrainian authors and translated literature. The Old Lion is famous for its prize-winning Stars and Poppy Seeds and War that Changed Rondo, I see that, Loudly, Softly, in a Whisper by Romana Romanyshyn and Andriy Lesiv. Having received more than 30 awards during its history, the Old Lion publishing house continues to develop, increasing the number of books, improving their quality, and actively engaging itself and its partners into socially important projects.
