Yuriy Melnyk

Yuriy Fedorovych Melnyk (born August 5 1962, in the village of Verkhnyachka, Cherkasy Oblast) — Deputy Prime Minister for Agriculture (2005–2006), Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine (2006–2010). Hero of Ukraine (Order of the State, 2009). By profession, he is a zootechnician, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, and has been an academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences since 2009.
