Volodymyr Viatrovych (PhD) is a Ukrainian historian, publicist, and Member of Parliament of Ukraine.
He is the author of 12 books and co-author of 9 others. His works have been translated into English, Polish, and Czech.
As Director of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory (2014–2019), he initiated the decommunization legislative package and the opening of KGB archives.
He is also a co-author of laws banning the propaganda of symbols associated with Russian imperial policy, supporting Ukrainian publishers and bookstores, and prohibiting the import of Russian books into Ukraine.
