Sasha Voitsekhivska is a children’s and young adult writer, born on May 20, 1991, in Kropyvnytskyi. She graduated from a mathematics lyceum and went on to earn a degree in Aerospace Control Systems from the State University “Kyiv Aviation Institute.” She switched to the Ukrainian language back in 2012 — and still considers it the best decision of her life: the language became a key to her true self.
She began writing in 2019, and as of 2026 is the author of eleven books for children and young adults. Her works have received grant support from the Ukrainian Book Institute on multiple occasions, and have appeared on the long lists of the best children’s and YA titles selected by TOP Barabuky, the best Ukrainian books of the year according to PEN Ukraine, and the best Ukrainian children’s books according to Chytomo. She connects with children effortlessly and cherishes every child’s inner world.
