Eva Raiska is a writer, journalist.
Author of the book “Bakhtalo. Stories of Ukrainian Roma”.
Scholarship holder of the program of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland “Gaude Polonia” 2021. Laureate of the Mike Johansen Art Report Competition “Samovydets” 2021. Two-time finalist of the “Honor of the Profession” competition in the nomination “Best Report”. One of the scholarship holders of the “European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC)”.
Works in the genre of art reportage and essays. Published in “The Ukrainians”, “Reporters.”, “Local History”, “Zbruch”, Kultura Enter, “Kontur”, “Media.Lab”, “Ukrainian Pravda”, “Zaborona”, “Hromadske”. Some texts have been translated into French, German and Romanian. Researches the topic of national minorities, in particular, the Roma of Ukraine.
One of the authors of the anthologies: “Crimean Fig “Qirim Inciri” (publishing house VSL, 2019), “The Path (to) the Roma” (publishing house “Vydavnytstvoe”, 2020), “77 Days of February” (publishing house Laboratoriya, 20222), “Free Voices of Crimea. Participant of the international residency for artists from Eastern Europe “FAI-AR Formation supérieure d’art en espace public” (France, Marseille), art festivals in Ukraine and abroad.
