Lucian Dan TEODOROVICI (b. 1975) is a Romanian writer, scriptwriter and theatre director. He is also the general manager of the National Museum of Romanian Literature Iași and the International Festival of Literature and Translation (FILIT). He is the author of several books of short stories and novels. His books are translated and published in more than 10 countries around the world (USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Turkey, Republic of Macedonia etc.). He was awarder with several national and international prizes for literature, and his most well-known novel “Matei Brunul” was longlisted for the International Dublin Literary Prize (2020) and for the Jan Michalski Prize (Switzerland), and shortlisted for the Angelus Award (Poland). In 2025, he was awarded the title of “Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” by the French Republic, for “his contribution and commitment to culture”.
