Through the Prism
Adolescence often feels like a continuous, blinding stream of light. But what if we try to split it? Our program, like the prism, splits the whirlwind of life into colors and shades, helping us see what usually merges into one, or sometimes, on the contrary, helping us connect all aspects into a coherent picture.
Halyna
Through the Prism is about how differently we see the world. It is a way to look at familiar things from a different angle, to feel the experience of other people and better understand both yourself and the world around you, to learn about the values of others and draw a conclusion from this.

The title Through the Prism emphasizes the fact that teenagers perceive reality differently than adults or children do, and even among themselves they have different interpretations.
Sofiia
Every experience, every thought, every judgment always passes through and is filtered by the prism: the prism of emotions, view, experience, sensations, attitude, etc. And every prism adds a new aspect of understanding, a new conclusion to life. Our program and space are designed to help you find and explore all of your own and others’ prisms, lenses and spectacles of this life.

In the space Through the Prism we do not just share our stories—we represent our own worldview optics. This exhibition is about the opportunity to see the world differently. To slow down, to look closely, to hear. We strive to capture the moment between already and not yet, where every image and every audio clip is a way to share what is dear to us.
The title emphasizes the nature of the teenage experience. It is changeable, multi-layered. What matters here is not goals for the future or experiences from the past, but the presence, the importance and peculiarities of which we sometimes forget in the fleeting nature of life.

Everything we see, think and feel passes through the prism through which we view the world. Everyone has a unique prism, shaped by their own experience. Our prisms can acquire new shades, because we experience something every day. It is also important that these prisms do not exist in isolation. We constantly interact with other people—and the rays of their prisms intersect with ours, forming connections. Through the Prism is about the fact that closeness and feelings can look different with every person.
Our prisms now are who we are at this moment. And our program is an opportunity to look through the prism of present us—us, teenagers.

Our program is created for and about teenagers. The members of the Youth Council and the LitLab Teens of the Mystetskyi Arsenal want to share their vision with the audience through sensual texts and special events. Guests of the program events will be able to create, listen and interact. We have created a safe and supportive space for our peers.
One of the events—reading of texts—will present the results of the writing work carried out within the LitLab. For those who want to express their own creative potential, various workshops will be held—on collage, postcard design and visual storytelling. The program also includes conversations about mental health, literature and cinema for teenagers, and traditional Ukrainian culture. Throughout the festival, our exhibition will be on display in the teenage space.
