Frankfurter Buchmesse in cooperation with the International Book Arsenal Festival and Goethe-Institut Ukraine announce the open call for the fourth season of the Special Programme for publishers from Ukraine and neighbouring countries.
The Special Programme for publishers from Ukraine and neighbouring countries is an intensive training and networking programme for publishers, editors, foreign rights managers and literary agents from Ukraine, Armenia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary within Frankfurter Buchmesse which will take place on 15—19 October, 2025.
Against the background of a significant reduction in culture funding in Germany and the suspension of a number of important traditional programs and projects of the Frankfurter Buchmesse, the preservation of the Special Program for this year is a sign of the priority of supporting the Ukrainian book publishing industry and the trust in us on the part of our German partners. And faith in us. I am sure that today this is one of the most effective professional growth programs for Ukrainian publishers focused on international activities
— Yuliia Kozlovets, the Director of the International Book Arsenal Festival.
In 2024, 15 publishers participated in the Programme, including 7 publishers from Ukraine. Read more about the Programme and the 2024 participants on the Frankfurter Buchmesse website.
