Ukraїner Publishing House is an organic extension of activities, values and mission of the non-governmental organization and it strives to show different facets of real, original Ukraine. Books of the publishing house, based on the research of its own team and individual authors, help reveal the beauty, distinctive culture and identity of Ukraine to readers from all over the world. In its editions Ukraїner highlights local initiatives, traditions and crafts, cultural diversity, and during the war— the indomitability and resistance of Ukrainians as well.
The first Ukraїner book Country from the Inside was created in 2019 in collaboration with the Old Lion Publishing House, and the publishing house starts operating independently in 2021. In 2022-2023, the Ukraїner team engages external authors in cooperation, adapted translations of books appear in the United Kingdom, Japan and Germany, they immediately hit the bestseller list on such platforms as Amazon and Rakuten books.
At present the publishing portfolio of Ukraїner includes 8 own books (6 in Ukrainian and 2 in English). In the nearest future, the team plans not only to publish new original Ukrainian-language books, but also to initiate translations and adaptations in other languages. Ukraїner Publishing House believes that in this difficult historical time a good Ukrainian book is therapy for Ukrainians themselves, as well as an opportunity to tell foreigners what is happening in Ukraine and what we are fighting for. Therefore, the Ukraїner team works to spread the Ukrainian narrative in the world and assert Ukrainian subjectness with the help of high-quality publishing products.
