Mystetstvo Publishing House

On February 1, 2024, the State Specialized Publishing House Mystetstvo turned 92 (it was founded in 1932 in Kharkiv, the then capital of Ukraine; in 1935, in connection with the change of the capital, it was relocated to Kyiv). To date, the publishing house has joined the process of revival of the national culture, seeking to return the works of Ukrainian art to the general public, as well as to introduce the names artificially removed from the cultural process to the readership, to present the Ukrainian classical heritage in all its fullness and to fill the gaps in the readers’ comprehension of the most valuable works of the world culture. Many generations of Ukrainians were brought up on our literature. And it is no exaggeration to say that the books and albums of Mystetstvo adorn not only many public libraries of the world, but also the libraries of every family both in Ukraine and abroad. Mystetstvo Publishing House specializes in publishing art and photo albums, literature on art history, aesthetics, theater, cinema, history and cultural studies, state-building, local history, fiction, art postcards, calendars.
