Marysia Nikitiuk is a film director, screenwriter, and author of prose and poetry. She has been writing scripts since 2012. In 2016, she received the Krzysztof Kieślowski Award for the screenplay «When Trees Fall». The film had its world premiere at the Berlinale in 2018. Marysia also co-wrote the film «Homeward» by Nariman Aliev, which was presented at Cannes in 2019. In 2022, Marysia’s second feature film «Lucky Girl» premiered at the Tallinn Black Nights International Film Festival.
