Born in Kyiv, Igor Holfman graduated from the Industrial College (1979), and Theatre Studies Department of the University of the Arts (1987). He studied Jewish history, culture, and ethnography. He wrote dozens of articles on this topic in various publications. Author of the collection of memoirs “Shizya” (2014). Co-author of the historical guide “Jewish Addresses of Kyiv” (2012) and “The Jewish World of the Postcard”. Author of lyrics for various Ukrainian performers.
