Jean Molitor, born in Berlin, trained as a photographer and camera assistant, later studied art photography at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig. Freelance photographer, filmmaker and journalist for magazines and German television since 1994. Since 2004 Molitor shows his artistic work in international exhibitions. In 2009 the project bau1haus was built in Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi in the heart of Africa. This was followed by trips to Congo, Afghanistan, Cambodia, India, Cuba and Israel.
