Thomas Olde Heuvelt is a Dutch novelist and short story writer. He writes mainly horror fiction, although his works have hints of magical realism and sly humor. Mainstream audiences all around the world read the author’s novels.
Thomas Olde Heuvelt won the Hugo Award (US) for best short fiction in 2015. His story The Day the World Turned Upside Down was the first ever-translated story to win a Hugo Award. In addition, he won multiple awards in his home country of the Netherlands, and his novel Hex has been sold to 26 countries, translated into 16 languages and is currently being adapted for a TV series in the US.
