Olena Pshenychna is a writer, journalist, public activist, and accessibility ambassador. She is the co-founder and СЕО of Vydymi NGO, an organization focused on autism awareness, supporting families raising autistic children, and advocating for legislative, social, behavioral, and service-related changes. She is also a board member of the Network of Parent Organizations, which unites more than forty organizations across Ukraine founded by parents of children with disabilities.
In 2024, her debut novel Where the Sun Sets was published by Laboratoria Publishing. The book was included in the list of the best books of 2024 by PEN Ukraine and received the “Knyharnia Ye Choice Award” in 2024. For this novel, Olena Pshenychna became a laureate of the Oles Honchar Literary Prize in 2025.
In May 2026, the stage adaptation of Where the Sun Sets premiered at the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater.
