Vitalina Makaryk

Born and lives in Volodymyr, Volyn region. She studied at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and the Ukrainian Academy of Printing. Currently, she works as a methodologist at the “BaraBooka” Children’s Reading Laboratory of the Junior Academy of Sciences and as a literary editor. She writes book reviews for “Chytomo.” She is the author of the YA (young adult) novella “Sneakers in the Sky” (Kedy v nebi), several stories for teenagers in the collections “Everything Happens for the First Time,” “Kutya Challenge,” “Waiting for Christmas,” “Demons of Desires,” “Eyes from the Black Mirror,” and others, as well as the collection of poetry and short prose “The Fish Wants.”
