Olena Haleta is a professor of literary theory at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and guest professor at Warsaw University and Ukrainian Catholic University. She has researched and taught modern and contemporary Ukrainian literature at universities and academic institutions in the USA, Canada, Germany, Austria, Poland, Croatia, and Czech Republic. She is an author and co-editor of nine books on the literary history of modern Ukraine. She is a member of PEN Ukraine.
