Olena was born on December 5, 1967. In 1985, she graduated from secondary school No. 2 in the city of Zaporizhzhia. In 1992–1997, she studied at the Kharkiv State Institute of Culture. In 1991, she started working at the Zaporizhia Regional Universal Scientific Library as a librarian; in 2002, she was the head of the department of documents in foreign languages; and since 2014, she is the deputy director.
