Born in 1978 in Lviv. He is the author of fifteen books, including fiction, non-fiction and books for teenagers. Member of the Ukrainian PEN Club.
His story “The Union of Soviet Things” (2020) won the BBC Children’s Book of the Year 2021 award. The novel “Magnetism” (2020) was shortlisted for the Angelus Central European Literary Prize. The novel “Donthear. Dontspeak. Dontsee” received the Lviv UNESCO City of Literature Award in 2018.
