Novelist, essayist, poet, and intellectual. PhD in philosophy of arts, Doctor Honoris Causa of Lviv University. Her books have been translated into 25 languages, and won her numerous national and international awards (among them Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, Angelus Central European Literary Prize, Stanislaw Vincenz Award of the City of Krakow, French Order of the Legion of Honour, etc.)
