Mariana Klymets was born in 1981 in Lviv. She graduated from the Slavic Department of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in 2003 and defended her PhD thesis on the history of Croatian literature in 2021. Mariana Klymets translates from South Slavic languages, primarily modern Slovenian literature. She works at the Department of Slavic Philology of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and participates in various international literary and translation projects.
