Arve Hansen is a senior advisor at the Documentation and Accountability Hub of the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, where he leads the Nansen Programme for empowering Ukrainian civil society. He holds a PhD and works on documenting war crimes.
Hansen’s research focuses on urbanism, mass protest, and cultures of opposition in Eastern Europe. He has conducted long-term academic fieldwork in Ukraine. He is also the author of three non-fiction books on Ukraine.
