Never before has Czech comics developed so dynamically and for so long time without adverse external influences. As a result, three waves of authors have appeared on the local scene over the past two decades, who are free to create and publish. Of course, they are limited by the size of the Czech market and the fragmentary nature of the ‘inner’ traditions. But thanks to them, Czech comics are now more diverse in genre than ever, and celebrate the first world successes.
The project is a free continuation of the previous panel exhibition of Czech Centers Meanwhile Elsewhere: Century of Czech Comics.
