Vasylisa Stepanenko is an Associated Press journalist, the Pulitzer Prize and the Shevchenko Prize winner, the producer of the documentary film «20 Days in Mariupol», the Academy Award in 2024 winner. In 2024, she entered the list of Forbes under 30 Europe.
With the Associated Press team, journalists Mstyslav Chernov and Yevhen Malolietka arrived to Mariupol on February 24, they were the only international journalists who worked during the city siege and showed the world the russian bombardment of the maternity hospital, mass graves, and deaths of people.
