He was and still is the initiator, author and co-author of most of the current laws of Ukraine, governmental resolutions, and other state regulatory and normative acts aimed at protecting and developing national book publishing; organizer and co-organizer of a number of well-known book exhibitions and events in Ukraine. He is a member of the Secretariat of the Public Council under the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, the Board of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine.
